Applications

Methanol is widely utilized as a solvent and reagent for various industrial applications. It’s used in making varnishes, cleaning products, antifreeze, waterproofing products, plastics, paints, adhesives, plywood, construction materials, agrichemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Methanol is used as a reagent in the gas industry, in the production of biodiesel fuel, in the production of petrochemical products, and as a solvent in oil refining. Methanol is also used to fuel cars, trucks, marine vessels, cookstoves, and boilers.
