Applications
UREA is an organic compound and a colorless, odorless solid. It has common applications in the chemical industry as a significant raw material. It is used as a mordant in textile dyeing, it’s a main ingredient in nitrogen fertilizers and in the pharmaceutical industry it is used in protein resuspension buffer, protein denaturation, and protein isolation from urea-based polyacrylamide gels, to examine the unfolded proteins conformation. It has also been used in the production of resins and automobile systems.
