Methyl Paraben USP/NF is most frequently used as a preservative in cosmetics. It has a role as a plant metabolite, as a food preservative in foods and beverages, a neuroprotective agent and as an agent in pharmaceuticals and personal care products. This product has been tested and meets the standards set by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for purity and quality. USP–NF is a combination of two compendia, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the National Formulary (NF).
This product is not registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a pesticide and is not intended for use as an antimicrobial, disinfectant, sanitizer, or any other pesticidal purpose.
