Applications
Chitosan 90% High Density is made from shrimp and crab shell; it is a biodegradable and biocompatible material that has several unique properties such as biodegradability, and biocompatibility. High-density chitosan has 2-3 times the density (≥0.6g/ml) of ordinary chitosan, and its ability to absorb grease is more than 3 times that of ordinary chitosan at the same volume. These properties make it suitable for various applications including biomedical, agricultural, and environmental. In the field of biomedical engineering, chitosan is used in wound healing, drug delivery, tissue engineering and as a coating for medical devices.
