Applications
Calcium Nitrate can be used in a variety of applications; it is mainly used as an oxidant in the manufacturing of fertilizers in the agriculture industry and used as a pre conditioner in water. It is used in such industrial processes as the manufacture of regenerable cold packs, accelerating set concrete admixtures, matches and radio tubes. Calcium nitrate has also been used in controlling plant disease and as a corrosion inhibitor in diesel fuels.
